You will be greeted at your hotel, airport, port or outside your cruise terminal and after 30-40 minutes you will make your way to the estate Pyrgos Vasilissis.
The Queen’s Tower Estate was born out of Queen Amalia’s vision of the establishment of a model agricultural facility, where innovative production methods were to be applied aiming to the modernization of the Greek agronomy. A vineyard was one the first plantations of the estate. Concerning the formation of 18 hectares of the initial vineyard , experienced viticulturists coming from Megara, were hired. The personality of this model farm embed by its visionary, has been present to date.
The cultivation of 4 hectares, the area that the vineyard covers today, is organic, as well as the one of the rest of the plantations existing inside the property (pistachio trees, olive trees). The vineyard is located in the same place where the original vineyard was (during the Queen’s era). The varieties that are planted are wine grape varieties, Greek and others originated from Europe, white and red.
The tour guide in the Tower is considered a unique experience. It last 2.5 hrs and begins with the reception of the visitors in the buildings of the estate and furthers with the visit to the monument of the Tower ( indoors, outdoors). The tour at the second floor of the Tower always takes place without shoes, in order to protect the marvelous floor (parquet-marquetry) from harm.
The tour, also, includes a stroll around the gardens of the estate, its stables, and the organic vineyard, as well as the tour in the winery.
At the end of the tour, the visitors have the opportunity of a tasting of our wines accompanied with pies of greens and cheeses.

There is a pathway, but there are also steps near the top. Keep in mind that the weather may be very hot during the summer.

The area around the Acropolis Hill and Syntagma Square (changing of the guards) can become quite crowded, especially during the peak travel months, so be aware of your surroundings and keep your belongings close to you.

Your English- speaking driver will explain about the ancient monuments that you are about to visit, the ancient history of Greece and interesting facts about historical and modern-day Greece but is not allowed by law to accompany you in the sites. If you wish to have a licensed tour guide to accompany you into the sites, we will help you arrange a licensed tour guide to be with you at an extra cost
